Two Harry Potter robe-like shirts: number one, and number two.

DIY Harry Potter robes: this is a really simple one for the kiddies, and here is an adult robe tutorial (it doubles as a Jedi cloak, but if you make it in black with the pointy hood, all should be well).

Some Harry Potter skirts/dressies. The first is the Prisoner of Azkaban Skirt (complete with tutorial); second is a Harry Potter Hufflepuff skirt (with tutorial, and customizable to your particular house); and third is a simple Gryffindor/Weasley dress (no tutorial, but great inspiration!).

I kind of love looking at these Harry Potter mood boards as inspiration for dressing up without going down the normal “costume” route. First one is here, and the rest can be found here.

30 minute Harry Potter hat tutorial!

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows t shirt tutorial, using acrylic paint.

Custom Harry Potter shirts could easily be created with fabric pens, acrylic paint, or iron on transfer paper. Different kinds of stitching & embroidering would be neat, too! All you need is a blank shirt, a few supplies, and a little inspiration. Here are a few clever ideas…

  1. Dark Mark shirt
  2. Embroidered lightning bolt.
  3. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good
  4. I have stuck with Harry until the very end
  5. Muggle born
  6. Nah, it’s not polyjuice potion…I always look this good

Have you already made a Harry Potter themed shirt?
